We were so lucky to have Dee and Jim come and stay with us for a week while we were in Spain. In all our visits together – we’ve never had that much time to spend with each other and not feel like we had to rush to see and do as much as possible in a very short amount of time. It was awesome!
One our day trips was to the village of Frigiliana, about 15 minutes or so from Nerja – up into the mountains. It’s an absolutely gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous little town. A traditional Spanish town with white houses, colorful doors, lots of flowers, steep steps and alleyways and of course, great shops and of course, great little restaurants and places to stop for a drink and tapas.
On this visit, we came across a lovely, tiny little shop that sold stroop-waffles! homemade, right there. And when we walked in, the owner was grilling and making fresh ones. Sweet! Of course we bought some! and now we think we need a stroop-waffle maker for at home ….
There was park playing, shopping, a stop for a glass of muscatel, a sweet wine – so delish and a great meal at the top of Frigiliana on the outdoor terrace overlooking the town and over the ocean and on a clear day, the coast of Africa.
Tons more pictures, if you want to see them.
